In a collaborative effort among industry manufacturers, retailers and allied industry partners, the Housewares Charity Foundation hosts a gala fundraising evening each year during the International Home & Housewares Show. The event's purpose is to raise funds for critical charities, unite our industry and honor its leaders.
The International Housewares Association is a full-service trade association dedicated to promoting the sales and marketing of housewares since 1938. IHA - the world's Home Authority - is strategically positioned to connect, inform, support and enable its international membership to lead in the global marketplace.
IHA is a founding member and strong supporter of the Housewares Charity Foundation, a private nonprofit organization established in 1996. Since its inception, the HCF has made charitable contributions of more than $14 million.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation was named the Legacy Beneficiary of the Housewares Charity Foundation in 2001 and receives proceeds from their annual event each year. In 2010, for the second year in a row, BCRF was thrilled to ba named the sole charitable recipient of the Gala, which raised an astonishing $1.5 million for BCRF, bringing HFC's cumulative donation to the Foundation to nearly $10 mllion. This year, HFC's contribution will fully fund six critical resarch projects.
