BCRF President, Myra J. Biblowit, receives the 2012 Woman of Achievement Award
Women in Development (WiD) recognizes highly distinguished
woman in philanthropy every year at the Woman of Achievement Award Luncheon. This year, BCRF President, Myra Biblowit received the 2012 Woman of Achievement Award at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on April 18.
Ms. Biblowit's seasoned success in nonprofit management across multiple disciplines made her deserving of the Award. BCRF Acting Chairman, Leonard Lauder presented the Award recalling the special bond and driving passion that both his late wife, Evelyn, and Myra shared in championing BCRF's mission.
As BCRF President since 2001, she led the organization to its current position as a highly regarded international foundation that has raised $380 million for breast cancer research. In accepting the Award, Ms. Biblowit said "Here is what I wish for all of you: to find satisfaction and joy in the work you do, as I have...to find partners and colleagues who support you and share the exhilaration of raising dollars that make change possible and foster growth."
