Hosting a fundraiser to benefit BCRF? Know the facts!
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993 in order to provide funding for groundbreaking investigations led by some of the most visionary minds in medical research. Since its inception, BCRF has raised over $440 million to support advanced and promising breast cancer research that will help lead to prevention and a cure in our lifetime.
For the fiscal year 2012-13, BCRF grants of $40 million are supporting 197 researchers from across the globe. Click for a full list of grantees.
Our administrative expenses remain at an absolute minimum. Currently, 91 cents of every dollar spent by BCRF is directed towards breast cancer research and awareness programs.
Our efficiency has prompted independent evaluators to award BCRF with their highest ratings, including Charity Navigator's prestigious 4-Star rating, and CharityWatch's "A+" rating (formerly The American Institute of Philanthropy.)
