Quilter's Alaskan Cruises: Quilt Camp At Sea

The 2008 Cruise For A Cure will be to New England! Sailing dates are August 9th to 16th, 2008 aboard Holland America Line's luxurious ms. Maasdam. Ports of call will include: Portland, ME; Saint John, New Brunswick; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Bar Harbor, ME. This wonderful annual cruise to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is once again sponsored by The Quilter Magazine.
This is NOT a "quilter's only" cruise!! Husbands and family members are welcome for the vacation experience of a lifetime! Although the beautiful vista class ship, the ms. Noordam, will accommodate over 1800 total guests, the 2008 Cruise For A Cure group will be limited to a maximum of 200 guests (150 quilters) and is filling FAST

The cruise will feature special guests - JIM SHORE AND BARBARA LAVALLEE with quilting instructors including Carol Doak, Patti Carey, Mary Covey, Beverly Dunivent, Retta Warehime, Lisa Moore, Helen Weinman, Jo Anne Gordon, Lori Hein, Judy Irish, Robin and Tina Kingsley, and Jackie Wolff

Embark on an adventure and discover North America's most scenic, historic and culturally rich region. Perfect for a family vacation! In addition to quilting classes with nationally recognized instructors, this cruise features convenient homeports, historic seaports, dazzling cities, outdoor activities and unforgettable sea life.

We will explore the scenic coasts of New England and Canada indulging on local lobster and clam chowder while learning about the rich culture of the Northeast. Holland America Line's luxurious ms. Maasdam will ensure a Canada and New England cruise experience as enchanting and elegant as the destinations themselves are varied and thrilling. Sailing upon deep blue waters, we will depart from Boston on Saturday afternoon, returning there the following Saturday morning.
